Natural Hairstylist from the Beginning! (NOT trying to boast!)


So, these are all hairstyles that I have done since I was 10. That was the age when I decided I wanted to be a hair stylist. I started right away!

Ok, I have to admit, I was still learning:


You can't really see this style, but I was learning how to do my own hair.

You have to ignore the warrior in the front and look at the horrified girl in the back.
T-Bone was a little skeptical about Z's hair that day I guess.
It was one of those Why-are-you-taking-a-picture-of-me-in-this-blinding-sun moments
I didn't do this style but one like it.
 I did cornrows on my own head this time.
 My friend actually did this on me recently but I just had to stick it in here because it was the only time in my life that my hair actually stood curled for an hour!

Oh yes, this one was fun. I was dressing up like a wealthy jewish girl from the 1st Century. I had long braids in the back.
 What a fun little bun!
I had a cornrow/dutch braid going down the back here but what I really like here is the teenage silliness!

I couldn't stop eating this, so I quickly portioned out pieces to send home with my guests after we all ate our share. Of course, they loved it. Why? Downtown Chicago Pictures+Touring German Cousin Around...

Just recently, my cousin came to stay with us from Germany and it's been a blast! We've done a lot of photography together but I think the best so far is from downtown Chicago. Anyways, we went downtown with my cousin to show her some cool Chicago and I was like... Time for camera action. And I took that. Nature is God's Canvas

During my several visits to The Farm, I've found out the nature is not just beautiful, it's breathtaking. So I had the urge to take pictures of it. However, I have a really crappy point-and-shoot camera that aggravates me beyond belief. I'm hoping to get a much nicer one soon. I know what pictures can look like, and being perfectionistic, when I can't get a picture that a 600 dollar camera would take with 30 dollar one, I get frustrated. I guess I'm overestimating what my poor decade-old camera can do.

Fried Chicken+My Hilarious Mistake

Dude, seriously. More like your cooking life, though. I had been afraid to make fried chicken for sooo long because every time I did it, it did not work out! Me and my mom tried it over and over but we would burn it, the flour wouldn't stick, we'd forget the salt or not know what seasonings to use, and man would it be disappointing! But really, who wants to spend 2 hours making something wrong, and resulting in an over-greasy, burnt, not-worth-the-unhealthy ingredients dinner?!? We had even tried the dried mashed potatoes thing, but why do we have to go through such an effort and use strange ingredients just to make something so many people can do in a heartbeat? Why couldn't we just make normally like those awesome Mississippi cooks? I found ALL THE ANSWERS in this one video, made by a blogger/youtuber lady.
