Dresser and mirror redo!

This used to be green, and all the handles were falling off. I found the mirror in our alley. It was a weirdly soft wood (or particle board) and was covered in Pokemon stickers. There were mysterious holes clustered at the top coupled with a rusting piece of metal. Of course, I decided to take action (accounting on the fact I had been dreaming of a full sized mirror for my bedroom), and sanded, repainted, de-stickered, re-knobed both. At the time the only paint in our house that matched my bedroom was the purple from the dresser (I had done that one earlier with my mom) so I went on and used it for the mirror. To my surprise, when I took it to my room, it fitted perfectly on top of the dresser! Instant vanity (which I also had been wishing for)!

I couldn't stop eating this, so I quickly portioned out pieces to send home with my guests after we all ate our share. Of course, they loved it. Why? Downtown Chicago Pictures+Touring German Cousin Around...

Just recently, my cousin came to stay with us from Germany and it's been a blast! We've done a lot of photography together but I think the best so far is from downtown Chicago. Nature is God's Canvas

During my several visits to The Farm, I've found out the nature is not just beautiful, it's breathtaking. So I had the urge to take pictures of it. However, I have a really crappy point-and-shoot camera that aggravates me beyond belief. I'm hoping to get a much nicer one soon. I know what pictures can look like, and being perfectionistic, when I can't get a picture that a 600 dollar camera would take with 30 dollar one, I get frustrated. I guess I'm overestimating what my poor decade-old camera can do.

Fried Chicken+My Hilarious Mistake

Dude, seriously. More like your cooking life, though. I had been afraid to make fried chicken for sooo long because every time I did it, it did not work out! Me and my mom tried it over and over but we would burn it, the flour wouldn't stick, we'd forget the salt or not know what seasonings to use, and man would it be disappointing! But really, who wants to spend 2 hours making something wrong, and resulting in an over-greasy, burnt, not-worth-the-unhealthy ingredients dinner?!? We had even tried the dried mashed potatoes thing, but why do we have to go through such an effort and use strange ingredients just to make something so many people can do in a heartbeat?
